The Cebu IT Park in Lahug is one of today’s most important districts in Cebu City. Attracting huge IT firms from all over the globe, the park employs at least 23,000 IT workers. With more than a hundred IT companies, the Cebu IT Park is host to more than 70% of Cebu’s booming BPO industry.
Take a look at how the Cebu IT Park (formerly Asiatown IT Park) has changed from being an old airport strip to being the symbol of Cebu’s economic growth and power.

I used to work for the contractor of Asiatown IT Park, and I very well remember that Globe Telecom and that building occupied by People Support were the first buildings there. Look now, it’s becoming the business district of Cebu. I just hope they leave a space for a park with trees where employees can take a breather from work.

IT Park has become a busy, noisy and almost messy and confused place, but has remained to be a calm and relaxing destination. It’s ironic that way. I would always love IT park walks.
Nice pictures, but “Glove Telecom Tower” ? really?

As an avid Cebu IT Park visitor it’s quite amazing to look at these pictures when the park had been almost empty, free. I run regularly there, and the greenery as the backdrop makes the experience so much engaging. I love the IT park so much In created a blog post about it:
